T. Opitz’s Class
5th Grade
My name is Theresa Opitz, I am a Special Ed Teacher in the 5th grade.
I have been working at PS/MS 42 for 6 years and this will be my 5th year teaching in the 5th grade. I always look forward to meeting my students and helping them to be the best they can be. My students leave feeling more self confident and an understanding that if they work hard they can accomplish anything.
I love the quote, “It shouldn’t matter how slowly a child learns as long as we are encouraging them not to stop.”
I also love participating in the afterschool activities with the students and their families. I look forward to working with my students this year!
